I plan on adding to this as I go. But, I must make the first link to what I consider an important book. When I first started looking at digital astrophotography information was scarce and poor. Every article and reference I could find on the web seemed to assume you already knew what you were doing. I was ready to give up when I found a wonderful book that assumes you know nothing and gives you what you need to get started. If you are just starting out, like me, this is the one book you must have:

Getting Started: Long Exposure Astrophotography by Allan Hall

In addition to his excellent book, Allan also has a website with additional content for his book, additional information and tutorial files. I think you'll like it. You can find it at:
